Merging cultural symbolism with cyber aesthetics, this NFT explores identity and ceremony in a digitally reconstructed realm.
“Neon Rites” was born from a personal question: What happens to tradition in a hyper-digital future? As cultures evolve and migrate into virtual spaces, I wanted to explore the tension between ancestral rituals and modern digital expression.
Inspired by the vibrant processions of Southeast Asia and the glowing ambiguity of cyberpunk aesthetics, this piece merges ancient symbology with artificial light. The characters move in looped choreography, as if caught between devotion and data — neither fully analog nor entirely virtual.
Every element was designed with duality in mind: hand-drawn motifs layered with generative code, ceremonial gongs remixed into synth pulses, organic textures bathed in neon hues. Through this visual collision, Neon Rites challenges viewers to consider what we carry forward — and what we digitize — when our identities are uploaded.
It’s not just a visual — it’s a digital ritual. A reminder that even in a screen-lit world, the soul still seeks ceremony.
